Heartland Montessori is situated on two rural acres, with beautifully prepared indoor and outdoor environments. We support children and their families starting from birth with our parent/ child classes, and Toddler Community all the way through kindergarten in our Children's House. Our classrooms are equipped with all of the Montessori materials, as well as carefully chosen supplemental materials. Our outdoor learning environment boasts numerous opportunities for motor development and sensorial play, which reflect the emphasis that Montessori education places on exploring, connecting with, and appreciating the natural world.

Heartland Montessori School is an authentic Montessori learning environment providing an outstanding curriculum and underlying philosophy that respects each child’s individual growth and development. Children actively pursue their own interests and work at their own pace, developing independent thinking and problem solving skills that will last a lifetime. Heartland currently enrolls children between the ages of 14 months and 6 years in our Toddler and Children's House programs.

Heartland is an independent non-profit run by a Board of Directors elected from its membership comprised of parents, teachers, and friends of the school. Our vision began in 1994 with a group of dedicated parents looking for an alternative to the traditional school system. For 20 years, Heartland has continued to develop its programs and environment to best meet the needs of our children and families in our community.
