Tuition Scholarships
Heartland Montessori School is committed to an economically diverse student body and welcomes the opportunity to provide financial support where needed to help families send their children to our school. Each year, the Board of Directors may determine specific funds to be allocated for scholarships.
Financial aid is available to the families of all current and prospective students; however, the school expects families to finance their children's education to the extent that they can. Award amounts are variable and are based on the relative need of the families that have applied and on the funds available. The maximum scholarship award to a family is 33% of tuition for the following academic year.
Scholarships are made for one year only; families requesting financial assistance must reapply each year. While Heartland will make every effort to maintain financial assistance levels from year to year, conditions may change; one year's award is no guarantee of awards in subsequent years.
Families seeking a scholarship must file an online application through the Independent School Management Financial Aid for School Tuition (FAST) Program. The FAST program is designed to be very responsive to our families and allows each family to represent their own particular circumstances accurately. To ease the online application process, FAST provides 24/7 help desk support.
FAST provides Heartland Montessori School a need-based financial aid analysis service which ensures that our process for establishing financial need adheres to nationally established standards of best practice. All information from FAST is kept confidential, as is all information pertaining to a family's scholarship request.

The Application Process
- The online application process is self-guided. You can partially complete an application and return another time if you don't want to complete the application in one sitting. The non-refundable application fee is payable by Visa or MasterCard at the end of the application. The application fee will be billed to your credit card under the name of "Independent School Management (ISM)".
- After completing the online application, you will be required to submit your current tax returns for both State and Federal taxes, including all schedules and W-2s. If you choose to send these via postal mail, including Heartland's name on the outside of the envelope will ensure faster processing of your application. Forms must be received before an award determination can be made.
- Heartland's Scholarship Committee will review applications and recommend an award to the Board of Directors. Once the award is approved by the Board, applicants will be notified of award determinations in writing, and they must accept or deny the award by the date specified in their award letter if they wish to accept the school's offer. After this date, the school considers the offer declined, and the funds will be reallocated.
